About The Hedgerow
FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN THE PEPLER NAME - I HAVE PUT UP A SITE JUST FOR IT
SEE LINK BELOW
There are ONLY 350 Peplers in the 1881 British Census
Hello.
My name is Marie Byatt and I am in charge of this hedgerow.
I first started looking into genealogy to ascertain my exact relationship to
all the people that had been identified as `cousins` by the adults around me.
As it turned out, some of those cousins were only related after traveling back
to 1820 or so. Because of this, my family tree resembles a hedgerow rather
than a single tree. Some parts are full and bushy with deep roots and other
sections are rather sparse. I keep working on the edges.
Photos have been organized into albums. The Default contains portraits. The
others are groups, couples, places and documents. I am trying to develop a
short explanation of each major family name, These will be found in the
document album unlinked to any individuals.
I have been very lucky with cooperation from people and relatives. I would
especially like to thank -
Mrs. Bell - for help with the Finn and Hintz families and reading endless
census records at the Family History center and providing a wealth of
photographs.
Mr. Derrick Byatt - who gave me much of the Byatt information
Mr. William John Coxhead - for information on the Coxhead and Mursell families
and who introduced me to Tribal Pages
Mr. and Mrs. Jahnke - for the information about Jahnkes and Sorviks
Mrs. Grace Power - for information about the Chapmans and Skinners
Mrs. Isla Sutherland - for the New Zealand connections
Mr. Christopher Scroop - for incredible research into the Scroops that he was
willing to share.
Mrs. Janet Dunn - for help with the Farmer family
Mr. Haberstroh - for help with Gramenz
Mrs Jeannette Lovesletten - for help with the Hintz and Madlung families
Alicia and Lennard Nichols - for information about the Nichols and Davey famiies
And finally Mrs. Margaret Piehl - who did considerable research into the German
side of the family and has given me much insight into family history. She has
been a real inspiration.
Also a posthumous thank you to Minnie Hintz Raasch. Her photographs and
postcard albums run from about 1905 through the 1950`s. She was very
meticulous about labeling with names and dates and the majority of the
Wisconsin relations were identified by referencing her labeling.
If you find that you might be connected to this foliage, please email me. I`m
always looking for new relatives.
Note - If the maiden name of a wife is unknown, she is listed under her married
name in lowercase-m. ex. If I didn`t know my maiden name, I would be Marie
byatt-m.
